Subnautica 2 Axum Culture: Dated Location Evidence

A first-hand May 2026 route report and creator timestamps, with source-data positions and explicit limits on counts, respawns and current safety.

There is a traceable acquisition report for Axum Bacterial Culture: Rory Norris’s May 18, 2026 PC Gamer guide includes his route description and gameplay screenshots. Treat it as a dated first-hand report, not as this site’s independently repeated test of the October build.

The route in the original report

Norris describes a green pool inside the Metal Farms cavern. His approach begins at the Alien Ruins Research Base, follows a purple pipe toward the Angel Comb beneath the Alien Power Plant, and continues northeast into the cavern. He reports roughly 450 metres of depth and recommends preparing the Tadpole and repair supplies.

Read the original report and its images before attempting to reproduce it. This summary is not a guaranteed safe corridor. The article is from May, and later patches changed Collector pathfinding and vehicle interactions.

A separate creator’s collection sequence

WoW Quests’ May 16 video lists collection segments at 00:54, 01:17, 01:34, 01:53 and 02:00, after an approach section beginning at 00:00. Those are the creator’s published chapters. They show what the video intends to cover; they do not prove that exactly five cultures can ever exist or that none respawn.

Compare an object position with a real visit

The community position plot includes culture-object records from Joric’s extracted data, and the coordinate table preserves the source and units. These records have no per-object build stamp. An extracted position is a different kind of evidence from a player reaching and collecting the item.

To check your own result, record build, branch, item quantity before and after pickup, and the observed collection action. For a built farm failing to produce, use Metal Farm troubleshooting rather than assuming a permanent culture shortage.
