Roadmap dates
Signal: Google Suggest, Reddit comments and media recaps keep asking whether EA 1.1 and EA 1.2 are weeks or months away.
Answer: Unknown Worlds has not published patch dates. The official wording points to plans over the next few months, but the useful answer is still sequence, not calendar: EA 1.1 first, EA 1.2 second, larger world expansion later.
Sprint and storage
Signal: Movement speed and inventory friction show up in Roadmap discussion because early exploration is slow and resource-heavy.
Answer: Sprint and Storage Cache are official EA 1.1 additions. Treat them as planned improvements, not live features until patch notes land.
Voice chat, trading and revive
Signal: Co-op players want to know whether four-player exploration will get better tools than external Discord and manual item drops.
Answer: Voice Chat, Player Trading and Player Revive are official EA 1.2 planned additions. Current co-op groups should still plan roles and shared storage manually.
Map size and future biomes
Signal: Searches include map size, map vs 1, map interactive and map so far. Reddit map comparison posts are active.
Answer: Future biomes are official roadmap direction, but current Early Access boundaries remain current-build boundaries. Do not read future expansion as today's playable map size.
Creature balance / hostile fish
Signal: Reddit discussion, the May 20 official feedback letter and the May 22 Hotfix 2 notes all focus on whether creature encounters feel fair, readable and satisfying.
Answer: Unknown Worlds has now said creature aggression timing, aggro range, flare effectiveness, Survival Tool effectiveness and creature interactions with vehicles and bases are patch targets. Hotfix 2 already adjusts some early pressure, but direct lethal combat remains feedback, not a promised feature.
Silver and Troilite
Signal: Hotfix 2 turned early resource scarcity into a live content-maintenance issue, especially for players looking up Silver, Troilite and upgrade bottlenecks.
Answer: Resource pages should now treat Silver and Troilite availability as build-sensitive. A current route can be useful, but screenshots and POIs need a patch date attached.
Buying now vs waiting
Signal: Review videos and Reddit replies split between strong Early Access enthusiasm and players who want a finished story.
Answer: Play now for co-op exploration and launch-build discovery. Wait if you mainly want complete story chapters, mature balance, and the expanded world.
Save compatibility
Signal: May 18-21 Reddit questions are asking whether future Early Access updates will keep current saves usable.
Answer: Unknown Worlds has not promised that every Early Access save will survive every future update unchanged. Back up saves before major patches and expect some bases, routes or progression assumptions to need adjustment.
Terms, analytics and trust
Signal: Hotfix 1 changed analytics timing and data volume after launch-week Terms of Service concern.
Answer: The May 19 hotfix enabled analytics only after Terms of Service acceptance and reduced backend data traffic. Keep EULA/analytics pages factual and link official notes rather than repeating social-media claims.
