Subnautica 2 on PS5, PS4 and Switch: Status
Currently linked official storefronts and the status of PlayStation and Nintendo versions, without speculative port dates.
The current official storefront links are Steam, Epic Games and Xbox. They appear in Unknown Worlds’ October 15, 2026 announcement. That announcement does not give a PS5, PS4 or Nintendo Switch release date.
Is a PlayStation or Switch version confirmed here?
We have no original platform announcement establishing one in the sources reviewed for this page. This means we cannot promise a port or state that one is cancelled.
How to check a listing
Our recommendation is to begin at the developer’s official links, then verify the exact product title and supported device on the destination storefront. The original Subnautica and Below Zero are separate products; their presence in a console store does not establish availability of Subnautica 2.
Be careful with a search result that promises a download for an unannounced platform. A trailer labeled with a console name is also not enough unless it comes from the developer or platform holder and identifies the actual product.
Can I use a cloud service or Steam Deck instead?
